Is that much of a difference between a Gtx 560 and 560ti?

You'll get, on average, about 10-15 more FPS with the GTX 560 Ti version.. Different games will obviously give different results. The base GTX 560 is still a great card, but if you can spring the extra cash, I'd go for the GTX 560 Ti version. You will get better performance in all aspects. Check out the link below for some comparisons in games..

      http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...op,2944-6.html

Main difference between the 2 is the GTX 560 has 336 Stream Processors and the Ti version has 384, lower base clock speeds (core, memory, and shader clocks) on the GTX 560 vs. the Ti.

The link below shows a good comparison of specs between the 2 GTX 560 versions:

      http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...^14-130-660-TS

Both cards Overclock great, Ti does offer more headroom for a better OC tho from what I've read on the NVIDIA and EVGA forums that I frequent. So, if you do overclock, you'll get a much better OC on the Ti. On the other hand, you can clock the base GTX 560 to the Ti specs pretty easily in most cases. Either way you go, both cards are a WIN! :)

Thanks for all the help given. Im posting from my new computer just now. Still on the drivers installation. This thing is fast! :D Had to buy a new case on a local store with a decent ventilation system. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits installed. Still need to a buy a more reliable power supply and the new video card.

      :D

Just tried BF3 with my old 9800 GT and it can run it at ultra. With a avg 20 FPS but doable :O Changed it to medium and its working ok. around 28-30 FPS. Really playable with enjoyment. :) Still need that new GPU and PSU though :P

Yea, you'll want to aim for a min of 30 and a average around at least 40 for smooth results. I'd also test in single player and 64 player multi maps. At that low monitor resolution, I'm not surprised :), glad to hear you can at least play. But again, you shouldn't need a new PSU until you get a second graphics card down the road. I'd get the new monitor and graphics card at the same time so you can play on the bigger screen at a higher res, but not sacrifice FPS due to the higher res.

That try was made on a full 64 players metro, then tried caspian and something bay and the numbers were pretty much the same.
